Film and Event Production

Information about my film and event production skills.

Film and Event Production

Since college, I worked in live event and film production. While live event production has never been my main focus, the skills I've learned have helped in all my endeavors.

Commercials

FormLProductions has shot and edited social media ads and commercials for brands like, Poker Night Out, Never Ride Stock, Tom's Pet Supply, and Race The Movie The Play (an off broadway production).

Here is a recent example of a commercial I produced:

Location Sound

I first became passionate about sound while filming my short "New Shoes," where I learned how essential having good sound is. Eventually, I purchased gear and began recording sound for others.

My current gear list is as follows:
- Sound Devices MixPre-10 II Audio Recorder
- Sennheiser MKH 416-P48
- 2 Sennheiser 100 G4 Wireless Lavalier Microphone
- K-Tek KE-89CC Avalon Series Aluminum Boompole with Internal Coiled XLR Cable
- 2 Tentacle Sync E timecode generators

The sound work sample I'm most proud of is this commercial for Northwell Health. It features high schoolers and showcases my ability to get quality audio, even from non-actors.

Event Production

I've worked in several live event production roles, starting out as a traffic and sanitation coordinator. There, I saw first-hand the value of organization and clear leadership. The job helped me improve my in-the-moment decision-making.

After a few years, I started taking on more supervisory positions. In 2021, I worked for Orenda Events as an assistant supervisor of an overnight medical tent build for the New York City Marathon. The position required ensuring that a team of 50+ laborers stayed on schedule and completed the build before the race.

I utilized all of my time management, leadership, and organizational skills. I was frequently asked to make decisions without the input of my supervisor and had to build to the exact specifications of the medical professionals in charge of operating the tents.

Most recently, I have continued my work with Oredna Events in production roles for the Wall that Heals and Veterans Day Parade—in conjunction with the Department of Veteran's Affairs.
